Building on the research project 'The Gender Career Gap: An Analysis of Occupational Segregation and Career Progression' from CBS Associate Professor Annaïg Morin, this event explores how workplace structures, norms, and career pathways shape women’s opportunities over time.<br><br>Bringing together both research and practitioner perspectives, the discussion will feature insights from change-making companies and thought leaders working to close the gender career gap.<br><br></p>

<p>CBS Executive Education and the MBA Alumni Society are joining forces to host an exciting spring event featuring Professor &amp; Vice Dean Anja Dalgaard-Nielsen — former Director of the Danish Defence Intelligence Service — who will share her latest insights on geopolitics, security, and what today’s shifting global landscape means for business leaders.</p>
<p>In her keynote, Professor Dalgaard-Nielsen will:<br><br><strong>1. Set the scene: A world in rapid transformation</strong><br>She will outline the dynamics of an increasingly unpredictable global environment — from geopolitical tensions to heightened security concerns including cyber threats — with a particular focus on developments in Europe.<br><strong><br>2. Highlight the implications for business based on a recent analysis of what 150 Danish business leaders have to say on how to navigate</strong><br>Following her pitch, faculty member (TBA) will moderate a dynamic discussion, bringing in additional perspectives and connecting the topic to diverse areas of expertise.<br><br></p>

<p>When complexity becomes the everyday condition, what does leadership development require? For professionals who design, facilitate, commission and evaluate leadership development, including L&amp;D, OD and HRD leaders, program directors, coaches, consultants and researchers, the work is not about teaching fixed models. It is about enabling sensemaking, strengthening relational capacity and building principles in action across systems at the edge of complexity.</p>
<p>As complexity becomes normal, organisations need leaders who can coordinate across boundaries, act with speed without losing judgement and sustain trust under pressure. This day focuses on building those capabilities and on how to develop them at scale inside real organisations.</p>
<p>The programme will include keynote speakers, such as Jody Hoffer Gittell, Professor and PhD Program Director at Brandeis University’s Heller School, as well as breakout sessions where participants will engage with relevant cases.</p>
<p><em><strong>Who is this event for?</strong></em> People who work with leadership development and are looking to get inspired, challenged, and rethink their practices and programs to match a new reality of polycrises and uncertainty.<br><br></p>
<h6><strong>No-show fee</strong></h6>
<p>In order to give the most people the opportunity to participate in the event and to protect ourselves against food waste etc., we need to know if you are participating, otherwise we can give your place to someone else. Therefore, if you cancel after the deadline on 9 April at 12:00 CET or do not arrive on the day, you will subsequently receive a charge of 450 DKK. Should you be prevented, you are always welcome to send a colleague in your place and thereby avoid paying a no-show fee.</p>

<p>Anja is a Professor and Vice Dean at CBS and previously Director of Intelligence at the Danish Defence Intelligence Service.</p>
<p>She works to help businesses, authorities, organisations, decision-makers and students understand and navigate the growing security challenges shaped by geopolitical tensions and technological advancements.</p>
<p>Her focus is on strengthening the ability of companies and public institutions to make better strategic choices under uncertainty. At CBS, she aims to bridge research, practice and policy to equip leaders and businesses for a more complex and unpredictable world.</p>

Anja Dalsgaard-Nielsen

<p>Andreas Wieland is Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Copenhagen Business School and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Supply Chain Management.<br><br>He studies how organisations and supply networks build resilience and transform under pressure, reframing supply chains as social-ecological systems at the intersection of business and planetary boundaries. He also designs executive and graduate learning formats that translate research into practical and societal value.</p>
